Village of Bainbridge
 
The Village of Bainbridge will hold a public hearing on October 21st, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Office, 33 West Main Street, Bainbridge, NY for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Village of Bainbridge current Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project (#71HR335-23), which provided $500,000 in funding to rehabilitate single-family homes that are either owner-occupied or income-producing properties serving low-to moderate income households.
 
The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR), and provides resources to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the progress of the ongoing CDBG project. Comments related to the effectiveness of administration of the CDBG project will also be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
 
The location of hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact Brenda Parsons, Village Clerk at [email protected], at least three days in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. Written comments may also be submitted to Brenda Parsons, Village Clerk at 33 West Main Street, Bainbridge, NY until October 20th, 2025.

Public Notice April 16th, 2024
The Village of Bainbridge Board of Trustees will hold an informational meeting on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the Bainbridge Town Hall, 15 North Main Street, Bainbridge.
The purpose of the informational meeting will be to discuss a potential solar installation that is to be located in the Village and Town.  In order to accommodate this solar installation, NYSEG must install poles and feeder lines from the Front Street NYSEG sub-station, on a proposed route to the north-west end of the village where the installation is to be located.  Streets that potentially may be affected are:  Front, River, North Main, Pruyn, Parsons and Freiot Ave.
The board is seeking comments from all interested parties.  Representatives from the solar project will be present to address any questions or concerns that you may have.

Grant Administration and Program Delivery Services Request for Proposals
Village of Bainbridge
CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Program
Proposals are due by 3:00 pm on March 5, 2024.
 
The Village of Bainbridge is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide Grant Administration and Program Delivery Services for their recently awarded FY 2023 NYS CDBG housing rehabilitation Grant. The program is anticipated to rehabilitate 13-14 single family, owner-occupied homes in the Village.   M/WBE and Section 3 firms are strongly encouraged to respond.

2022-2023 Village Budget

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to Section 5-508 of the Village Law, the tentative budget for the Village of Bainbridge for the 2022-2023 fiscal year has been prepared and filed with the Village Clerk at the Village Office, 33 West Main Street, Bainbridge, NY where it may be inspected by appointment or may be viewed on the Village of Bainbridge website www.villageofbainbridgeny.org.  Said tentative budget includes maximum compensation for the Mayor of $4,000 per annum and Trustees of $3,000 per annum.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Village of Bainbridge Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 5, 2022 at 6:30 PM in the Town Clerk’s Office, 15 North Main Street, Bainbridge.  The purpose of the public hearing will be to receive comments concerning Local Law #2 of 22, A Local Law to Override the Tax Cap.
